Sorry! This CSF profile has a profound neutrophilic pleocytosis with elevated protein and decreased glucose. This would be suggestive of a significant bacterial meningoencephalitis; certainly would be consistent with S. pneumo, N. meningitidis, etc. However, the patient's MRI and clinical findings suggest a rhomboencephalitis component to this. What is the most common organism to cause an infectious rhomboencephalitis, and what would the CSF profile look like as a result of it?
