You cycle the cuff and are greeted with a BP of 115/74. You take the time to quickly do a focused cardiac exam. He has a non-elevated JVP, no peripheral edema, and no hepatojugular reflux. He is breathing comfortably. His HR continues to bounce between the 120s and 140s.

What do you do next?

Get the pads on and prepare for cardioversion.

Push IV metoprolol 5mg.

Load with IV amiodarone 150mg and start the infusion at 1mg/min.
