Yes! The patient correctly underwent a right-sided craniotomy for SDH evacuation, as that hematoma was causing the most trouble. The left-sided SDH was smaller and it was not unreasonable to leave alone for the time being. Fortunately, he's had a profound improvement with operative intervention, and so you probably wouldn't call that left SDH symptomatic. Based on the best evidence currently available, use of MMA embolization for this left side could be a great adjunctive treatment. Its role as a primary therapeutic option to stave off surgical intervention, however, remains unclear.
